Next Ventures is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Curriculum Developer & Document Editor to support the implementation and sustainment of the Oracle Cloud 'Fusion Connect' ERP program. This temporary position is estimated to last 12 months, with an expected start date in October 2025, and includes the opportunity to convert to a full-time role based on project needs and performance.
This role is critical in designing, developing, and editing engaging training materials and documentation to enable end-users, business units, and support teams to effectively transition into and operate within the Oracle ERP environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong instructional design principles, technical writing skills, and a collaborative mindset to ensure training deliverables are accurate, user-focused, and aligned with business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain curriculum and documentation for Oracle Cloud ERP modules (Finance, Procurement, Inventory, etc.)
- Collaborate with ERP implementation team, functional leads, and business units to gather requirements and translate them into learning and support materials
- Create a variety of training assets including instructor-led content, self-paced eLearning modules, SOPs, quick reference guides (QRGs), job aids, and FAQs
- Ensure all documents adhere to company branding, formatting, and quality standards
- Support the rollout of training programs by coordinating schedules, managing content updates, and tracking learner feedback
- Edit and proofread technical documents to improve clarity, flow, and consistency
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and process mapping exercises to validate documentation relevance
- Maintain version control and documentation repositories using shared drives and LMS tools
- Assist with developing post-implementation support materials and continuous learning paths
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Technical Communication, Education, Business Systems, or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or documentation within ERP or enterprise software environments
- Demonstrated experience writing and editing training documents, SOPs, or business process guides
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and eLearning tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate)
- Familiarity with ERP systems; Oracle Cloud (Fusion) experience is highly preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail, grammar, and formatting standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a United States citizen
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check
Recommended Skills:
- Experience in adult learning principles and blended learning models
- Knowledge of the company’s (or similar) distribution operations
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Learning Management Systems (LMS), or cloud-based knowledge platforms
- Background in change management or ERP training deployment
- Graphic design or visual editing experience to enhance learning deliverables
