To conduct assessments of IOAS-accredited certification bodies, verifying their compliance with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) for scopes 1, 2, 3, and 4, as well as Textile Exchange standards including the Content Claim Standard (CCS), Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Organic Content Standard (OCS), and Recycled Claim Standard (RCS). This involves on-site evaluations, document reviews, and witness audits to uphold accreditation requirements and maintain high standards of certification quality.

Provide guidance on GOTS requirements to support organizations with documentation and recordkeeping, facilitate knowledge transfer among all members pursuing GOTS certification, and offer advice on continuous improvement. Additionally, assist with root cause analysis, including evaluating the extent of issues, implementing corrections, and developing corrective actions.

Significant value is aimed to be added by improving manufacturing efficiency and reducing waste. Technical training and skill development are provided in relevant fields such as GOTS, OCS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, CMS, social management, and textile sustainability. Guidance is offered on meeting local and international standards, audit preparation, conducting gap analyses, and implementing improvements.

As an Assistant Professor in the Textile Department, both academic and professional responsibilities are encompassed within the role. Teaching and mentoring of students in textile science and technology are carried out, while active contributions to research and development in the field are made
