Andreas Lenz

As part of the global R&D EDA team I’m responsible in the very interesting area of developing new Methodologies and Design Flows balancing design continuity and new developments. For the discrete BG in Nexperia we maintain tools and flows for Spice modelling, TCAD process development, Discrete Design and Mask Generation in Python. The Logic and Power business groups I support in all areas of IC design using tools from Cadence, Synopsys and Siemens Mentor for Simulation, Layout and Verification.

At Cadence Design Systems in Munich I worked as a Staff Application Engineer with the main focus on Analog Layout Automation and Mixed Signal Implementation in Europe. As the Cadence competence lead for Mixed Signal Implementation in EMEA I ramped up successful the MS competence group and establish customer solutions in the Mixed Signal domain. In the Mixed Signal projects I combined the Virtuoso XL/GXL Analog Automation features with Mixed Signal.

In Eindhoven at NXP I worked as a Senior Design engineer in the Area of Digital Layout Implementation. During my time at NXP I was responsible for the implementation of High Speed IP core layout and for larger multi-site SoC implementation. In addition I enjoyed to support colleagues as an implementation consultant, especially the time in Bangalore I'd like to mention as one highlight at my time at NXP.

At Toshiba Erope Design Centre in Duesseldorf I worked in the area of physical design implementation, mainly ASIC and ASSP customer projects. I worked in a close collaboration with the European colleagues and customer on site. Joining NEC Electronics Europe in Duesseldorf I started over to work on microcontroller macros and the wafer & package test of those MC before I breakthrough as a Layout Design Engineer. I've got the chance to learn about the Japanese culture on business trips to work on wafer test nearby Tokyo.

At the FhG I gain first practical experience working on implementing asic macros, full custom and FPGA Designs as a student worker.

As a computer technician I worked with customer to support HW & SW Installation. In addition I repaired computer systems on site. Customer care was another part of my job at GAO.
