Digikala.com is the biggest Iranian E-commerce website. Maintaining a decent uptime is the main goal of our team. My team's direct defined responsibilities are administrating and maintaining the Virtual infrastructure, servers, storage devices and backup processes. we use VMware vSphere and its related applications to maintain the virtual environment. SAN devices are including 3par, EMC VNX and HP devices. The backup software is Veritas Netbackup that are integrated with the Tape Libraries.

I was working in central Archive of IRIB. We had SAN storage devices. Besides that, there was a windows server with active directory, DNS, DHCP, FTP services. Our virtualization environment was vSphere and also we had to manage Cisco switches and routers although I was not directly responsible of these. We also do end user SAN access troubleshooting and storing videos on the SAN.
