Management der NAS Umgebung einer europäischen Institution in Luxemburg. NetApp AFF und Dell PowerScale. Arbeit an der Automatisierung der Arbeitsabläufe mit Jenkins, Ansible Automation Platform mit Ansible playbooks und Python. Arbeit mit PureStorage Flasharray.

I am part of a 3 man Storage & Backup team looking after the Pure FlashArray and FlashBlade/HPE 3Par/NetApp/Brocade/Rubrik/CommVault estate of an asset manager/hedge fund company in London. In my work I try to automate/script many processes with PowerShell or Python, creating SlackBots for easy and quick tasks, jupyter notebooks for recurring tasks , I am writing python scripts for collecting metrics off of storage and backups systems via the REST API and input to InfluxDB and visualise with Grafana.

-taking part in storage related projects -coordination, mentoring of the team members -assisting the team leader and managers in decisions by creating reports, technical statements -communication towards management and customers -quality management of the team, -creation of documentation for standard tasks

-support of different clients throughout Europe -monitoring of components of a Storage Area Network -monitoring and administration of EMC2 CLARiiON and Symmetrix Arrays, Celerra NAS and Centera archiving systems, Cisco and Brocade SAN Switches, HP storage arrays (XP, EVA, P2000) -coordinate hardware maintenance/changes with vendors and other delivery units -support of change and problem management procedures

-support of different clients in Europe: Georg Fischer, Continental AG, EDS internal support -monitoring of Windows servers -patch management/deployment with WSUS and UpdateExpert software -data backup and restore tasks with Veritas Backupexec, BrightStor ARCServe and IBM TSM

-resolution of OS (Windows), Office, Lotus Notes and special application related problems, AD user management -support of different clients in Europe: Continental AG, Georg Fischer -resolving of problems through remote takeover

(EDS Contact Center internal support) -desktop support (Windows, Office, Lotus Notes and other software/hardware related problems) -Avaya telephone server basic administration -network support

support of international customer (bank) in German and English languages
