Citydeal was launched in January 2010 by Rocket Internet (Samwer) as the German Groupon clone. Citydeal's business is based on selling discounted vouchers of restaurants and other lifestyle offers to endcustomers and is as such one of the first successful internet start-ups capturing the "local" market. In April 2010, citydeal was acquired by the American Groupon. Today the company is active in 40 countries and has a daily revenue exceeding EUR 1 mn.

- Loan Origination: Founding member of the German Real Estate Structured Finance Team, covering approximately 60 German and International clients - Underwriting of several billion € of large loan transactions, including most of the largest transactions in the German market - Analysis of secondary loan portfolios – whole loan and separated tranches – to determine appropriate discounts - Directed an advisory mandate on the sale of a $1 bn apartment portfolio

Acquisitions / Dispositions - Office, residential and development transactions exceeding $1.7 billion in value in the US - Financial analysis, modeling, underwriting, Due Diligence execution and supervision, Negotiation of financing and partnership agreements - Managing of 9 Joint Ventures with REITS (SLG, HIW & TRZ) and multiple private operators Asset Management - Asset Management of 61 properties incl. 19 residential complexes and in excess of 6 m. sqft. of office space - Annual budgeting and monthly
