- Instructor for 3rd-year Software Engineering project courses focusing on Best Practises and Industry-grade Software Design & Implementation. - Supervision of student projects covering areas such as Cloud Computing, Data Management, Data Analytics, Privacy and Trust, and Services Computing.

- R&D Lead of the integrative Data Analytics Platform (iDAP) initiative. - Lead researcher on big data management, data analytics, data provenance, explorative data visualisation, and privacy & trust.

- PI for the Semantic Service Discovery and Composition Eco-system (S2DanCE) project. - Co-PI for the Hippocratic Data Stream Cloud for Secure, Privacy-preserving Data Analytics Services (HipCloudS) project. - Lead researcher on data and record management technologies for traditional (i.e. centralised and shared-disk), privacy-aware and cloud computing.

- Supervision of postgraduate students.

- Lead researcher on data management technologies for centralised and shared-disk database systems. - Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students. - Curriculum development for database implementation, distributed systems and Web-based courses offered in undergraduate and postgraduate levels. - Attracted research funding of more than NZ$ 200,000 as principal investigator and more than NZ$ 300,000 as research co-investigator.
