The revelation of ultrafast radiationless processes in small and medium sized molecules is of major importance for many modern investigations involving femto- and attosecond laser pulses. In order to follow the dynamics of DNA nucleobases, the recently developed SHARC method is implemented. It treats nonadiabatic as well as other couplings (spin-orbit couplings, ...) on the same footing and therefore allows for comprehensive on-the-fly ab initio MD simulations of the molecules of interest.
