About me

Adrienne Dell, a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, devotes herself to protecting the rights of both adults and juveniles who have been accused of crimes. Adrienne Dell believes it is important to provide a vigorous defense for all people, and she has more than 25 years of experience as a criminal defense attorney. Respected by her clients and peers for her dedication and her knowledge of the criminal justice system, Adrienne Dell belongs to the California Public Defenders Association, National Legal Aid & Defender Association, and California Attorneys for Criminal Justice.

Adrienne Dell majored in history at UCLA, going on to pursue her Juris Doctor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Among her earliest experiences in the courtroom was working as Superior Court Clerk in Los Angeles, serving as administrator for the courtroom by preparing the calendar, reviewing and approving documents, and recording the daily proceedings. Next, as Law Clerk for Weitzman & Re, she performed extensive research in various areas of criminal law and assisted in trial preparation for a number of cases. While serving as Law Clerk at Brodey & Price PC, Adrienne Dell provided assistance during all aspects of trial proceedings and worked on a total of five death penalty cases. She eventually worked as an attorney at Brodey & Price as well.
After joining the Office of the Public Defender in 1986, Adrienne Dell took on responsibility for every aspect of misdemeanor and felony criminal proceedings, ultimately handling many jury trials. A few years later, she moved on to private practice, initially in Los Angeles and then in San Jose, where she practices today. For nearly 10 years, she had a successful partnership in the firm of Vertner & Dell, representing clients of all ages from pre-trial to post-conviction.

Adrienne Dell’s participation in her local community includes coaching soccer and helping with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Other organizations she supports include the ASPCA and The American National Red Cross. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, bird watching, and reading.
