About me

The tasks of mining the Web and executing OLAP queries on the Web are still too complex for the average Web user. My research aims at simplifying these tasks. Together with a team we focus on three research questions:

1. Can we trace back the orign of an information on the Web?

2. Can we train relation extractors for 1000's of higher order relations in an automated fashion and withIn the RDBMS?

3. What is the price for data and data assoziated services?

My keynote at WISE 2009 “Beyond Search: Web Scale Business Analytics” gives an overview on some of these topics.
