PhD thesis aimed to use an Ebolavirus biomarker (the secreted glycoprotein) as a target for the development of ultrasensitive diagnostics. Multidisciplinary project in collaboration with Duke's computer science and biomedical engineering departments. Methods: yeast display, tissue culture, antibody/nanobody engineering, cryo-EM, computational simulations, Alphafold, biolayer interferometry (BLI), surface plasmon resonance (SPR), mass spectrometry, protein purification, and molecular cloning.
