My main responsibility is to investigate and resolve incidents that occur on Barclay's Sales Finance systems. My main focus is to support a bespoke browser based application running on AIX with a DB2 database and a Java interface; however I am also involved in supporting VAX. I was also involved in development and unit testing of bug fixes.

My key responsibilities included the following: Maintaining the help, online payment and customer care functions on o2's website, alongside Call Centre Applications Running the commercial billing systems for O2, utilizing Geneva Billing system managing in excess of £10 million of revenue per day and accountable for all commercial billing for 6 million+ O2 customers. The monitoring of approx 150 AIX Unix and Windows 2000/2003 servers Providing Second line systems administration and application support

Working as part of a small team I developed a Delphi 6 emulation of an Oracle Database for the Foreign Office and Cap Gemini Ernst and Young. Initially I was brought in, to support other developers by building basic Delphi 6 forms, which could then be built into more complex walkthroughs. As the project developed I was asked to undertake a more active role in the development of walkthroughs, using XML and Delphi 6. This also involved the testing of the application and the subsequent bug fixing.
