About me

Fresh out of college with a teaching certificate in secondary education, Dave Cooke headed into the ‘real’ world to coach swimming and teach high school social studies. Dave didn’t stay in the education field very long. However, when he migrated into the business world over twenty five years ago, Dave never stopped coaching, teaching, training, and strategizing.
 
From his first sales job in New York City to his current passion in making businesses grow, Dave has developed his professional personality around the following drivers: Teamwork, Excellence, Focus, and Synergy. Along the way, Dave has worked in several industries ranging from specialty chemicals to vehicle development testing to contract office furniture. He has functional experiences in sales, sales management, business development, marketing, and executive management. He has never lost sight of the value of the people—employees, customers, owners—that make companies great. It his passion for people that motivates him and drives his efforts to this day.
 
Dave has a degree from Calvin College and an MBA from the Eli Broad School of Executive Management at MSU. He has recently added Phoenix as his residence, although he remains connected to his roots and his other ‘residence’ in Northville, MI. A happy empty nester, he has raised three children, who are very much engaged in their unique passions, as well.
 
At Strategic Resource Group, Dave, aka "The Sales Cooke", focuses on identifying and correcting problems in businesses. Primarily focusing on sales, organizational dynamics, and executive strategies, Strategic Resource Group is committed to helping businesses find the sustainable and profitable road to growth.
