About me

An alumnus of the Yale School of Medicine, David Weingold, M.D., earned his medical degree in 1987. After graduation, Dr. Weingold undertook an internship at North Carolina Memorial Hospital, part of The University of North Carolina Health Care System. He remained in this position for a year before beginning a dermatology residency at the Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. While serving in this role, Dr. Weingold published several articles in scholarly journals and served as Chief Resident during his final year of residency.

Board certified in dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, David Weingold, M.D., presently works in private practice in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of skin conditions and skin cancers. In addition to offering traditional surgical procedures and electrodessication as treatment for cancer, Dr. Weingold is skilled in Mohs surgery, a simple microscopic chemosurgical technique that offers very high cure rates and minimal damage to noncancerous skin cells. Dr. Weingold is also an affiliate member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery.

In addition, David Weingold, M.D., has been recognized by his community for the quality of service he provides and was named “Best Dermatologist” by KAIT-TV 8, a Jonesboro television station. He was also the recipient of a volunteerism award from the American Academy of Dermatology for donating services such as skin cancer screenings to members of his community.

In addition to his medical practice, David Weingold, M.D., teaches medicine. He presently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Dermatology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He continues to publish scholarly articles for a number of professional journals, and formerly held a reviewer position for a medical journal. In addition, Dr. Weingold acts as a preceptor for family practice residents. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, gardening, and fishing. He maintains membership in the Northeast Arkansas Flyfishers Club.
