Leadership and development of the accounting team (25 finance professionals), monitoring of monthly reporting of financial statements (US-GAAP), year-end closing in line with statutory requirements, supervision of internal and external audits (e.g. SOX), improving performance through financial analysis and driving changes in accounting, SME(subject matter expert) during the blueprint phase (SAP-implementation) for general ledger, closing, taxes and reporting, intercompanies.

Continuous optimization of accounting processes within the German organization (closing, cash flow, SOX-documentation, fluctuation balance) including trainin, revision of chart of accounts, merger of entities (accounting flows).

Analyses of accounting processes, reconciliation of fincial data statutory versus UK-GAAP, GL master data

Leading of the finance team (5 members), month-end reporting to business units and head office, monthly tax forecast for the German tax group, contact person for internal and external customers, continuous improvement of accounting processes for the German legal entities (shared-service activities), merger of legal entities (accounting flows) (Schmalbach-Lubeca was partially taken over by Amcor)

Coordination of customizing in FI module, supervision of FI-processes in line with group and local requirements including GL master data, continuous improvement of processes in SAP R/3
