I have worked with Boards and Community Groups on a variety of issues related to organizational effectiveness: designing strategic visioning exercises; conducting governance reviews and audits; strengthening corporate culture; streamlining decision making; developing policies and procedures.
My knowledge and understanding of government departments and international agencies, combine with a personal skill set that includes: leadership; communicating; team building; planning; implementing and evaluating; results in recommendations built on a combination of theory and best practices.
I have successfully completed studies in Political Science and Public Administration at Ryerson Polytechnic Institute; the modules in customers and products, logistics, manufacturing process and support functions of the American Production and Inventory Control Society; and the certificate programme in Teaching and Training Adults at Georgian College.
Recognition of my willingness to serve, commitment and confidence has allowed me to take a leadership role in helping a number of organizations meet challenging yet attainable goals.
Through my positions as staff, Board Member and consultant I understand the way an organization must integrate the roles and responsibilities for planning, implementing and evaluation to delegate successfully and avoid confrontation.
