Jack Kavanaugh

A longtime California resident, Dr. Jack Kavanaugh has participated in a variety of charitable and philanthropic endeavors throughout the years. Most recently, he co-chaired a charity function to benefit cancer research through the City of Hope. The event featured entertainment from The Dueling Fiddlers and highlighted an haute couture clothing collection from a renowned Italian designer who also made an appearance. 

A dentist by profession, Dr. Jack Kavanaugh has treated numerous individuals from underserved communities in California. He started his career in both East and West Los Angeles. He donated services for patients in need of reconstructive procedures who could not otherwise afford it. In the late 1990s, Nevada faced a crisis related to bottle baby syndrome during which they had a two-year backlog of patients in need of care. Dr. Jack Kavanaugh founded Amerident, which focused on addressing these needs in Nevada, and he led the 12-clinic organization as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer before selling the enterprise. During his tenure, the company received more than 30 accolades, including recognition from the Nevada state legislature.

 Dr. Jack Kavanaugh also spent a decade treating patients from an office in Beverly Hills before facing a health crisis of his own. Subsequently, he matriculated at the University of Southern California at the Keck School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine before fulfilling his internship and residency. He completed the latter training in ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, which is affiliated with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Since becoming an ophthalmologist, Dr. Jack Kavanaugh has passed the examination for board certification and returned to Jules Stein as a Visiting Assistant Professor. Previously, Dr. Jack Kavanaugh earned a DDS, an MBA, and a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
