Currently managing the APAC support operations for Google. Overseeing IT matters for all APAC countries, team of ~45 FTE, ~40 TVCs, 14,000 users. Unique experiences in the region have included IT crisis management for multiple cases of unusual activity in China and Korea. Focused security training for APAC Googlers and vendor teams operating in some of the most security vulnerable countries. Oversight of infrastructure and expansion support for growing APAC based vendor mega-facilities.

As the first member of the IS team in EMEA I had the opportunity of building all needed IS teams from scratch, this included responsibility for hiring, shaping operations, building tools. Growing the organisation from just 3 people to 120 within 4 years. Hired and promoted managers, restructured the organisation into 5 sub regions along with various departments needed to focus around respective technologies. Oversaw the technology for office growth from 13 to 64 Google locations including emerging markets

This was a post university internship in the IT Systems Lab at a 60,000 Employee Mercedes factory. Developed a strategy for a factory-wide “forklift” upgrade of printers, to optimize support and automation and bring down the TCO. Proposal was accepted by group director and implemented across many factories in Germany. Worked as test engineer for factory wide upgrade of Microsoft SMS 1.2>2.0 and Windows NT>2000.
