Dr. John Siebert is an accomplished plastic surgeon with a strong record of accomplishment in clinic practice, academia, and research. Practicing in New York, New York, Dr. John Siebert is an Attending Surgeon at several healthcare facilities in the region and holds several academic appointments. Dr. John Siebert received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, and he received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison, Wisconsin. Additionally, Dr. John Siebert completed a general surgery residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and plastic surgery and microsurgery residences at New York University. Upon completion of his training, Dr. John Siebert was appointed Associate Professor of Surgery at New York University School of Medicine and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Bellevue Hospital in New York. Dr. John Siebert was the Director of Microsurgery and Replantation Surgery Service at Bellevue Hospital, from 1989 until 1992. Dr. John Siebert currently serves at Lenox Hill Hospital; the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital; the New York Ear and Eye Infirmary; and the Manhattan Veterans Administration Hospital. Tenured since 1995, Dr. John Siebert continued to teach at New York University School of Medicine, and he served as Principal Investigator on a number of studies dealing with microsurgery. Dr. John Siebert has won teaching awards at NYU, and since 2007, he has held the position of Professor of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. The recipient of numerous research grants and professional awards, Dr. John Siebert has been named one of New York’s best plastic surgeons by New York Magazine annually since 1994. Dr. John Siebert is a member of the New York Microsurgery Society and the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, among several other professional organizations.
