An expert in financial valuations, Josette Ferrer currently serves as a Managing Director of the San Francisco-based consultancy Clairent Advisors. Working with a qualified team that has decades of combined experience, Ferrer assists clients in determining the worth of various assets and businesses, including intellectual property, intangible assets, and closely held business interests. Her firm’s services can be used for financial reporting, tax planning, corporate litigation, and all stages of the mergers and acquisitions process.

Josette Ferrer founded Clairent Advisors in 2010, bringing extensive experience to the firm. After graduating from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, Ferrer began her career with Ernst & Young LLP as a Valuation Associate. She then joined the Valuation Services Group of Arthur Anderson LLP, where she eventually became a Senior Manager. She joined Huron Consulting Group as a Director when Andersen’s San Francisco valuation team became a part of Huron. In 2004, Ferrer accepted a position as a Managing Director of Wealth & Tax Advisory Services (now WTAS LLC), which was a subsidiary of HSBC USA, Inc., at the time. During her tenure with WTAS, Ferrer established the San Francisco valuation team and directed a wide range of functions for the group. From 2006 to 2010, Josette Ferrer worked in various capacities for the insurance broker Marsh Inc. She was a Managing Director with the Valuation Services Practice at Kroll Inc., Marsh’s sister company, prior to assuming the role of U.S. Practice Leader of Valuation Services at Marsh.

Throughout her career, Josette Ferrer has maintained a commitment to advance the profession by participating in various industry events. In the past year, Ferrer has contributed to panel discussions on valuations related to mergers and acquisitions, entrepreneurship, and fair value issues.
