Keva Silversmith

Keva Silversmith is an accomplished public relations professional with over a decade’s experience communicating complex issues to internal and external audiences. He has gained significant financial communications experience working in the investor relations departments of some of the world’s most
recognizable companies.
 
Silversmith served at Burger King Corporation as an on-site Edelman consultant following BKC’s IPO. He cultivated relationships with national media and trade press, and delivered media training to executives for print and broadcast media. Silversmith worked closely with the company’s finance department, drafting announcements of the company’s results and leading the annual report project.
 
Prior to his tenure at Burger King, Silversmith transformed the communications department at Perry Ellis International during a critical period of acquisition and growth. As communications director for the company, he managed the quarterly earnings process including development of the earnings press release, call script, and Q&A preparation with senior executives. In addition, he developed investor conference and road show presentations that analyzed the marketplace, the company’s products, competitive advantages and financial opportunities.
 
Silversmith currently manages his own communications consulting practice, advancing the growth objectives of clients by providing effective, hands-on media relations, speech writing, social media action plans and Web site development.
 
Silversmith is a member of the bar in Florida and Maryland. He holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan, a J.D. from the University of Virginia, and an M.A. in Speech Communication from Emerson College.
