A graduate from the Singapore Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. He received his Chartered Manager status in 2005 awarded by the Chartered Management Institute UK and is a member of Association of Building Engineers, UK. He is a qualified auditor for ISO 9000, 18001 and 14001 under International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA ) and is also a Registered Workplace Health & Safety Officer, MOM.

In his last appointment as Program Director of Trent Global Education Group he organised and managed the Built Environment Programs offered by Heriot-Watt University, UK in Singapore, Thailand and China. In 1986, he initiated and managed the Diploma and Professional Diploma in Construction awarded by the Singapore Institute of Building. He participated actively in many professional bodies, namely SISIR Technical Committees, Singapore Contractors Association, Aquaculture Association of Singapore and was also a Committee Member of the CIDB National Certificate in Construction Supervision programme.

In addition, he has over 30 years working experience in international trade in building materials and equipment and construction management. Currently, he is the General Manager and Director of iHub-Sinnet Education Pte Ltd and Director of RIBM Business School, a private provider of accountancy and business manaement programmes.

On the professional side, he is Chairman, Membership Committee, and Council Member of the Institution of Facilities Management, Singapore. He was instrumental in the formation of this professional body to represent the interest of FM professionals in Singapore and beyond. His other business though Venture Farms Pte Ltd is a aquaculture trade and services company.
