Marcus Kogel

Since August 2011 I'm working for 3CX. The 3CX Phone System for Windows is a software-based IP PBX that replaces a proprietary hardware PBX / PABX. I'm responsible for Sales in the Markets of Germany and Austria. This involves partner & customer support and aquisition as well as managing new projects with partners.

Using this knowledge combined with web development capabilities I started a freelance project named Bluewave Experience. I acquired several customers and initiated several projects with companies in Cyprus developing new online marketing, sales and branding strategies and designing and conception of web2.0 corporate websites.

In May 2010 I started working for Medineo – For Medical Events. I was responsible for online and offline Branding, Marketing and Sales and gained a lot of experience in customer support, acquisition, market research, project management and sales. As a part of the management I was also involved in business development and strategic planning.

In December 2009 I started working as Medical Recruitment Manager at Professional Placement in Limassol. I was responsible for accessing the german market, acquisition, marketing, research and the development of a german recruitment platform for medical personnel.

After graduating from RWTH Aachen with a Magister Artium degree (similar to Master of Arts) in Communication Science, Economic Geography and Geography in 2008, I started working for the Comunici GmbH in Aachen which developed a corporate social networking platform combined with web based trainings. Working as a product manager and team leader of the testing department I took the chance to get international working experience and went to the holding company Komuniki Ltd. in Limassol, Cyprus where I was mainly responsible for testing, customer and after sales support and online sales presentations.

During my studies in Communication Science, Economic Geography and Geography at the University of Technology Aachen (RWTH) in Germany I specialised in online customer orientation, marketing and usability evaluation in the field of new media and technology. In my master’s thesis I tested and evaluated mobile devices such as navigation systems in terms of usability.
