About me

I'm Mario Aeby, born 1980, living in Neuenegg BE, Switzerland.

In July 2011 I joined Ernst & Young IT Risk & Assurance as an Assistant where I'm performing security audits of IT systems and consult companies about Web, Open Source Software and Social Media.

On March 23rd 2011 I graduated from University of Bern with a MA in History. My master thesis "Missernte 1916/17 in der Schweiz" highlighted the impact of both bad weather conditions and war time import restrictions on Swiss agriculture.

Aside of studying, I used to work in several IT positions ranging from Linux Sysadmin, IT support to Web Developer. As a freelancer, I'm creating web sites and web applications since 1998.

I'm member of the City Council of my hometown Neuenegg (governmental executive) where I am responsible for the departments Finances and Public Transportation.
