Mario Frau, architect
Born in Genova in 1968 and graduated at the faculty of Architecture of the Milan Polytechnic, achieved to a Master in Landscape Design. Through all these experiences together with his teaching activity at the Faculty of Architecture of the Milan Polytechnic and various collaborations with Lighting Designers and foreign architects, starts his career in architecture, landscape and light design. Active for more of a decade in architectural planning, Interior an Industrial Design and systems for interior or exterior lighting. The idea of architecture, interior design, light and space seen as indivisible components of project development, guided him at the creation of a interdisciplinary group of professionals and at the foundation of FRAU18•08 partners studio. Competence, passion and intuition,made him a charter member of APIL, Associazione Professionisti dell’illuminazione (the Italian name for the Professional Association of Lighting), linked to Federlegno Arredo.

Nato a Genova nel 1968, mi sono laureato alla Facoltà di Architettura del Politecnico di Milano, e ho conseguito un Master in Progettazione di Spazi Verdi Paesaggistici. Grazie queste esperienze, all'attività di docenza ed alla collaborazione con Lighting Designer e Architetti stranieri, inizia la Mia azione nel campo dell’architettura, del paesaggio e dell’illuminazione. Architettura, design, luce e ambiente intesi come componenti indivisibili nello sviluppo di un progetto, hanno portato ad organizzare un gruppo interdisciplinare di professionisti e a fondare lo Studio FRAU18•08 partners. Competenza, passione e intuizione, caratterizzano in sintesi l'attività che Mi ha visto essere un Socio fondatore, dell’APIL (Associazione Professionisti dell’Illuminazione), associata a Federlegno Arredo. L'impegno verso grandi opere in contesti internazionali, ci ha aperto la possibilità di operare nel design di prodotto con diverse aziende italiane.
