Marion Lesur

As a concept developer at the recently founded start-up TARU Organics, I supported the CEO in strengthening organisational and working structures, including through the identification of clear start-up goals and objectives, and the development of work protocols. Next to supporting TARU in establishing itself as a unique player in the field of organic food sales in India, I developed marketing and communication strategies as well as social empowerment strategies.

As a project coordinator at the WAVE (Women against Violence Europe) Network, my activities have ranged from networking with a Europe-wide network of over 110 women's organisations working in the field of preventing and combating violence against women (VAW), research on specialist support services for survivors of VAW, advocacy and lobbying, internal and external communication as well as the organisation of international network conferences and capacity-building events.

Interning at the Women against Violence Europe (WAVE) Network, I supported the organisation in networking with women's organisations working in the field of preventing and combating violence against women (VAW) in Europe, conducted data collection for research projects on support services for women survivors of VAW (2012 EIGE-commissioned research on the implementation of Area D of the BPfA in Europe), and actively participated in capacity-building trainings with women's NGOs working in the field.

As an intern at the Greek Council for Refugees (GCR), I supported the work of lawyers providing legal advice to asylum seekers by drawing reports on the political situation in asylum seekers' countries of origin, and participated in interviews of asylum seekers for the purpose of assessing their fulfilling of the 1951 Geneva Refugee Convention criteria. In addition, I assisted the legal, administrative and social departments of the organisation with FR/EN translation and interpretation.
