Board member of Seacost Preservation Association - Largest orginization. Check website. The Directors of Seacoast Preservation Association are actively involved in various community organizations. One board member is assigned to attending the San Diego Area Government meeting held monthly downtown. Other Directors have been instrumental in creating the organization and furthering the goals of the Leucadia 101 Business Association. Some Directors serve the community and represent the Association by joining or volunteering in the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce, interacting on the City of Encinitas committee Culture and Tourism or working with Downtown Encinitas Merchants Association. The primary efforts of the organization are focused in a positive way to enhancing the beach experience for everyone as well as advocating property protection for people who own land along the coastal bluff. Unlike many beach and ocean charitable organizations, the beach is our home. Our passion and desire to protect this environment is not a job or a hobby it is an inbred instinct. We cherish our ability to share this beautiful environment with those who visit our public and private beaches and embrace the responsibility to preserve them for your next visit.

Entrepreneur and longtime Southern California resident Matthew Gordon possesses an enduring respect for the environment. Matthew Gordon dedicates a significant amount of time and energy to advancing conservation and encouraging sustainability. As the Manager and President of real estate development firm MaNiPe, LLC, Matthew Gordon achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification for the company’s Golden Hill Row Homes project in San Diego. Matthew Gordon obtained the highly regarded LEED certification by implementing a host of environmentally responsible building strategies recommended by the United States Green Building Council. The eco-friendly row home development, designed by Hawkins & Hawkins Architects, additionally received an Award of Merit in the Best on the Boards Multi-Family Project category at the 2010 Gold Nugget Awards presented by the Pacific Coast Builders Conference. Matthew Gordon also co-founded Eco Rebox, LLC, a San Diego-based company that manufactures a groundbreaking sustainable shipping system. Eco Rebox’s reusable, self-contained shipping system serves as an efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional, single-use shipping methods, eliminating the need for wasteful packaging materials such as corrugated cardboard boxes, shrink and bubble wraps, polystyrene, and foam. Matthew Gordon co-founded the company to conserve the natural resources—fuel, trees, and water—used in the manufacture of disposable packaging materials, ultimately protecting the environment as a whole and combating global warming. Committed to safeguarding the natural beauty of California’s seacoast, for many years Matthew Gordon was a Board Member and Treasurer of the Seacoast Preservation Association, an organization that holds distinction as Southern California’s largest oceanfront homeowners group. The Seacoast Preservation Association encourages responsible living and facilitates community involvement to address a variety of issues, including sand replenishment, pollution, traffic calming, and legislation that affects coastal property owners. From 2007 to 2010, Matthew Gordon served in a volunteer capacity on the Board of Directors for BrandSource, the largest network of locally-owned consumer electronics, mattress, major appliance, and furniture stores. He additionally acted as President of the Pacific Southwest Region for BrandSource. An active member of his community, Matthew Gordon served on the Board of Directors for a local organization which works to improve sections of the North Coast Highway 101 corridor in northern San Diego county. In his free time, Matthew Gordon enjoys traveling, cooking, and taking leisurely walks in his scenic seaside neighborhood.
