About me
Started my career developing PC based ECG and Spirometry Equipment in a research lab at the UNSW. Moved on to the telecommunications industry in the mid-90's developing hardware equipment in the Voice over data space including first generation VoIP equipment. Lead a team that was subcontracted to companies such as Soliton Japan and Dialogic US imparting with our Voice expertise to these companies.
I then contracted in some start-ups advising them on technology and development
I made the move to SIEMENS in 1999 as the Embedded Products Manager for the Security Systems group developing an access control product range called SiPass. In my final year in this role, I was developing the first customer sites in the APAC and UK region as Business Manager for this Product Range. In 2004, I moved to the Security Systems HQ in Switzerland where I became responsible for Business Development in the Asia Pacific region. During that period, I also became the General Manager, SIEMENS Security Systems China and spent 18 months building our China presence.
In October 2006, I took on the responsibility of Business Development of the UK in addition to Asia Pacific and in April 2007, I also was given responsibility of integrating a new acquisition in the US called Vistascape in the role of Chief Operating Officer.
In April 2008, I took on a new challenge as Head of the Business Segment, Systems and Products, Security Solutions where we have a team of 100+ staff defining, developing, marketing and supporting differientiating technologies and systems for our Solutions business.
