About me

Outside of his academic and professional life, Ryan Tucker Perret pursues charitable and other enrichment activities. He supports Miles Perret Cancer Services and that organization’s Games of Acadiana, devoting significant time to raising funds for cancer research. To stay in shape, he goes swimming, biking, and running. He also competes regularly in triathlons. Furthermore, Ryan Perret pursues interests in farming and organics, as well as fishing.

A Louisiana native, Ryan Perret attended St. Thomas More High School in Lafayette. Subsequently, Ryan Perret enrolled in Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge. Over the past 150 years, LSU has provided countless educational opportunities and conferred nearly 200,000 degrees. The institution offers numerous research opportunities related to grant statuses for land, space, and sea exploration, and the Carnegie Foundation recognized LSU for such activity. U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks the institution among its top 25 “Best National Universities.” The University’s College of Business and School of Architecture each received recognition in recent years. With a notable athletic program, LSU holds nationwide distinction for possessing the only live tiger for a mascot. As an undergraduate, Ryan Perret studied at the campus, which features a serene atmosphere of Italian architecture, lakes, and oak trees. He also spent time at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Ryan Perret interned with two Baton Rouge organizations: The Shaw Group Inc. and the Louisiana Business and Technology Center, which operates on LSU’s South Campus. To date, the Center has facilitated the founding of 542 enterprises and establishment of more than 9,000 jobs. The staff has trained more than 20,000 individuals in 412 events.
