In these engagements I usually have to deal with a very high degree of complexity due to energy-specific topics (power generation, power distribution, renewables etc.) combined with a global reach and global delivery.  My job is to manage this complexity across various engagements and act as an escalation manager and to bet he trusted advisor and contact partner fort he customer. All projects assigned to me are globally delivered and exceed a team size of 50 FTEs.

Siemens IT Solutions and Services (SIS) is heavily expanding into becoming a global service provider for their global customers as well as the Siemens AG. The corporate HQ has the task to support the global delivery initiative of its respective subsidiaries in the countries. In this role I am responsible for a globally operating engagement team.
My main function is to act as the deal maker for projects that will include a significant portion of offshore services. In addition, I function as the evangelist of offshore being an essential and integral part of Siemens’ capabilities, especially in the German-speaking market.

IBM has set up a networked Resource Deployment Management system to shift focus away from traditional HR Management to Resource Deployment and thus increase the individual utilization of the practitioner. My job within the management team was to deploy 120 FTEs into projects at reduced idle time.

IBM’s answer to the prevalent internet boom of that time was the e-business Innovation Center. The goal was to carry out the entire project life cycle in one center in a flexible but effective manner – with the support of IBM’s global facilities. My job was to manage the so-called marketplace projects, where one standard solution was to be implemented for many different instances, and the state portal of Lower Saxony.

In 1998, CGI Germany was integrated into IBM as a Small/Medium Business Integrator. Next to the traditional projects with large insurance customers as IBM’s partner, the new division was now to come up with an own profile and own offerings.
My job consisted of two major parts: for one as an IT Consultant for Groupware Solutions especially for the banking sector, secondly, as an assistant to the General Management for the general marketing strategy. After nine months I took over the provisional lead of the business area of Groupware and network solutions, renamed to e-Business.
