What you'll do

As (Associate) Developer (f/m/d) in the SAP Datasphere Data Layer team, you will work in an innovative cloud development context in the field of data management and data integration.

The Data Layer team provides both HANA Cloud and Object Store / Spark based data management, transformation, federation, and orchestration capabilities to build a scalable and cost-efficient ingestion and persistence layer in SAP Datasphere.

Members of our team are involved in the full software development lifecycle, from discussing requirements to design, architecture, implementation, and quality assurance.

Together with experienced colleagues and early talents you will work in an agile context that requires to interact with multiple development teams in the HANA Database & Analytics organization.

This teamwork across locations as well as close collaboration with stakeholders and customers will be essential for the success of our team.

What you bring

- University degree in Computer science or a related area

- First experience in cloud software engineering (e.g. design, architecture, test-driven development, unit tests and continuous integration and delivery) is a plus

- Strong interest and basic knowledge to work with databases, SQL and object stores

- Good communication skills in English and German

- Programming skills in cloud technologies (JavaScript, Node.js, or TypeScript) is a plus

- Analytical and communication skills for providing efficient solutions to complex topics
