Worked closely with the Gasoline Blending trading desk to evaluate daily positions, mark-to-market PnL and report the price risk exposure. Comprehended hedging decisions by traders using derivatives such as Futures, Swaps and Options. Basic understanding of Gasoline blending components.

Analysed the flat price and basis risk exposures, corresponding mark-to-market PnL calculations and forecasted the respective hedges using derivatives for various portfolios. Worked closely with the trading and operations desks to better utilize the ETRM system for risk analysis and reporting.

Developed and published group wide policies and procedures for all refining, marketing and commercial entities/functions impacted by new regulation. Designed flowcharts and decision tree diagrams to support changes in procedures.

Contributed to the implementation of the Symphony trading and risk management application. Led project to decommission legacy trading system. Managed deployment of software releases with the vendor of the Symphony application. Wrote system testing scripts and coordinated user acceptance software testing. GAP analysis to document functional business requirements. Developed complex SQL queries and scripts for user reports. Created training documentation and provided training to users of ETRM.

Supported traders, analysts, risk and finance departments with the Symphony trading and risk management application. Extracted information from the database to provide reports to users. Provided training to users of Symphony and assisted trade analysts with queries regarding PnL, credit exposures and position movements. Performed UAT software testing prior to new software releases in the production environment. Led a project to create an interface between SAP and Symphony to eliminate duplication of effort.

Administered the trading, settlement, and back office applications. Resolved network connectivity problems and configured display, regional, and language settings for users. Diagnosed faults with Bloomberg and Reuter’s feeds. Resolved all Blackberry related problems such as configuration and synchronization with the Blackberry Exchange Server.
