The Better Life Program for the African Rural Women
Taking after her mother, Aisha Babangida maintains the Better Life Program and continues to expand it into new directions. Always focused on rural women and youth, they now look to better align these initiatives with the goals of the United Nations. Originally founded by Aisha’s late mother, this non-governmental organization has experienced major growth and innovation since Aisha took the reins in 2010. The Better Life Program is built on the goal of uplifting lives.

Aisha Babangida believes in the possibility within microfinancing. In order to stimulate growth in Nigeria, and Africa as a whole's developing economy, women and the unbanked become essential. Without properly equipping them with financial support in as part of a more financially inclusive community, no can expect to grow. The Egwafin Microfinance Bank hopes to enable those who previously couldn't manage funding to grow their businesses, homes and better their community.
