Required a series of workshops visits to a UK based company manufacturing hydro-electronic control systems, to learn the technical aspects of manufacturing a specific type of control systems. This knowledge was then passed on to TEPERSAC (Peru), a hydro-electric generator manufacturer, by leading a workshop in 2018.

My main responsibility was to manage and drive the qualification and characterisation of a structural adhesive for the composite fan blade programme. This involved dealing with several stakeholders within the company (Design, Impact, Manufacturing teams) as well as suppliers and test laboratories. Some of the skills I learnt through this project were qualification for aerospace standard components, project management, project supervision, management and leadership of multi-organisational teams.

Main responsibility was supporting the material qualification programmes by leading the sub-contracting of panel manufacture: A year-long project working with several stakeholders to ensure all required carbon and glass-fibre composite test panels (+200 items) were complete on time. As the workstream leader I was in charge of creating a work package, procuring the material, inspecting the technical expertise of prospective sub-contractors and managing all aspects of the project.

The project focuses on the effects of laser shock peening (LSP) on aerospace aluminium alloys. To understand the effects of LSP compressive residual stresses and surface modification on the micro-mechanisms of fatigue cracking, micro-mechanisms of corrosion pitting and cracks growing from pits.
