- Development of innovative and high-quality surgical instruments for ophthalmology. The tasks include design, test and documentation of these devices - Experimental analysis of the products in regards of functionality, reliability and conformity with regulatory requirements - Adjustment and optimization of existing products as part of product stewardship - Documentation and maintenance of design history documents in accordance to regulatory requirements (FDA, MDR, Iso 13485)

-Work on the development of new and innovative medical devices - Provide support for the internal and external projects conducted by engineering students - Manage the monitoring and reporting of clinical and industrial projects - Ensure the interface between doctors, researchers, medical device professionals and students, in French and in English - Explore new technologies and prospect new business partners in international fairs (participation to Medica 2017, Sofcot 2017)

- Create production workflows, assembly instructions and bills of material for customer specific and first tier harnesses - Calculate lead times ,analyze production concepts and offer cost effective alternatives - Define personnel and equipment resources for serial production and calculate investment cost

- Developing an optimized model of a total knee replacement and investigating the biomechanics of the knee joint. - Developing a 3Dmodel of a total knee replacement using Solidworks . - Investigating the areas of high stress during the gait cycle using Abacus and Ansys
