With over 10 years of experience in software development and management, I am passionate about building innovative and inclusive products that empower people and communities. As the Head of Engineering and Data at Castro Labs, a pre-seed startup building social consumer products for the LGBTQ+ community, I lead a team of talented engineers and data scientists who deliver inclusive and innovate solutions for our community. In my previous role as a Senior Engineering Manager at Instagram, I scaled the Instagram Web organization from a single team to a multi-team structure, overseeing the development of the core product and infrastructure features, as well as a cross-platform framework that enabled code sharing between mobile and web. I also created and supported two new teams that focused on equitable product development and accessibility, ensuring that Instagram's products were designed and built for everyone.
