For GetYourGuide, a start-up from Berlin, I translated promotional texts for tours of various destinations from English to Dutch (as shown on www.getyourguide.nl). My translations spoke to a wide audience and I could let my creativity run free to present GetYourGuide's products in the most fun and exciting way. This was a 100% remote job with flexible hours.

Responsible for implementing (from scratch) or improving existing end-to-end HR processes inside trivago with a high level of understanding of relevant finance processes. I accompany the full process life cycle: process design/mapping using BPMN 2.0, process implementation & testing, the creation of process documentation, stakeholder communication, process go-live, process performance monitoring and process optimization (e.g. through automation or through change requests).

Workforce Planner (Internally called a "Focus Lead") for the Organizational Solutions team, setting the longer term team goals and prioritizing the team's work and resources accordingly. Underlying goal: increase the productivity of the trivago employees by improving our internal tools.

As Product Manager for the Internal Communications & Collaboration Tools I was responsible for: evaluating and monitoring the usage of the tools, monitor employee needs, formulating tool requirements, make build-or-buy decisions, stakeholder management, market research, testing new tools/plugins or features, roll-out, change management, support & educate employees by designing workshops, online courses.

Localization Project Manager (Benelux region) responsible for planning and executing localization efforts for our Benelux platforms (both translation and QA - reporting bugs). I managed relationships with main stakeholders across the organization (country developers, marketing teams, product teams, etc.). Success project for NL: geostructure --> added 200+ missing cities leading to 80.000+ visits in the first month after creation.

Public Relations for both the www.trivago.nl and the www.trivago.be platforms. The content of the press releases was primarily focused on hotels, destinations, events, travel tips, travel trends or hotel prices. I wrote both new texts and I translated existing press releases from other markets into Dutch. The press releases have resulted in online publications in top media in the Netherlands & Belgian Flanders like Telegraaf, AD, Het Nieuwsblad, De Morgen, Linda Magazine.

Strategic communication advice for an NGO in healthcare in Stadskanaal. Stichting Hospice Stadskanaal en Omstreken was in the start-up phase of setting up a hospice in my birth town. At that time the main focus was on getting grants, gaining support in the region, gathering volunteers and setting up the appropriate relationships with their needed collaboration partners. Hospice "Veen & Wolden" opened its doors in November 2017.

In addition I was asked to work together with the Communication Manager to create content for the website of the latest project of the owners of Haus Hirt, called the Alpenlofts. The website was launched during my time at Haus Hirt and we had our first bookings.
