I am an engineer who born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. My background of engineering actually not begins with my university or college, it begins with my father who is one of the well-known plastic material and process experts in the Turkish Automotive Industry. From the young ages I had the chance of being his most close follower; I was observing his passion of work and discipline and always wanted to become as successful as him. His passion brought me the urge of learning and I started to learn plastic materials and its processes from him in my young ages. After I started Mechanical Engineering Faculty, I kept spending my summers in factories trying to learn more. After I graduated, I got selected by Brunel University London to study MSc Engineering Management. In London, I graduated with “Distinction” degree and went back to my country to start professional work life. Now I am working in the family of Ford Motor Company and developing Ford Transit Seating Systems.

I am currently working as a Automotive Seating System Engineer for Ford Transit NA and EU regions. I am leading weekly meetings with safety and core teams based on regulative and design related topics. I am also managing seat suppliers to align on their project time plan to reach target program milestones on time with required level of parts/ tools/ design levels. I am frequently reporting engineering financials and technical statuses to my Manager, Chief Program Engineer and Global Director.

I was the key account for my customer AUTOLIV’s projects. Even Farel was part of one of the leader German Plastic Part Supplier Wirthwein AG as a company, it was a medium sized injection factory with 50 machines and 300 workers. It turned into an ordeal job for me that I have to deal each technical and commercial problem very closely and detailed to satisfy my customer but in the end of 2 years all these efforts were going to pay itself with obtaining many great skills on project management.
