Project Management of Realization photovoltaik plants in the commercial field, industrial plants

Engineering Manager of a Power Supply Development Team including Electrical Design, FW, ME, ECAD, Test and Documentation/Change Management with a HC of 10. The scope of the project was to develop a new state of the art power supply for multiple cooling options and industries. Project Management and Supply chain.

Lead the R&D team in Vienna covering for concept generation, quoting, simulation, design and qualification of power supplies and/or power-related products like power distribution units and battery fuse units. It included competencies like electrical design, FW, ME, ECAD, Safety, Qualification, Documentation and Advanced Engineering. The overall head count was 64 employees, ability to work on 12 to 15 developments simultaneously.

Emerson acquired Artesyn Technologies and set up several business segments. My responsibility in Program Management / Telecom was extended to Asia. Austria: 5 employees China: 9 employees Philippines: 5 employees My “performance improvement initiative” continued and the PMI certifications were extended to the Asian team. The customer pool of my overall team was extended to Mobile Charger customers. My Vienna team was held as the most encouraged PM team in the organization.

In this role I had a Program Manager Team of 5 employees in Vienna, 1 in Colorado and 1 in Ireland. Organized PM trainings and drove the PMI certification for PMs in my team. In this role my activity field stayed with Wireless Infrastructure providers. My PM team had a strong customer focus and a major contribution of managing the allocation of pool resources of the Vienna Engineering team.

Acted as Program Manager (later Core Team Leader) for customized product developments for Dell, Sun Microsystem and DEC. In this period the focus of the Vienna R&D department was changed to Wireless Telecom Infrastructure providers and my orientation moved to Nokia, Ericsson and Alcatel. With this new product line we developed and implemented new conducted cooling technologies. The merger of CPI and Zytec required a global harmonization of CAD and MRP tools.
