Hi there! 👋 I'm Felipe Salgado, a physicist with a background in electrical engineering. Throughout my career, I've been deeply involved in research experiments that demanded extensive teamwork and innovative thinking. Some of my key experiences: - Designing and executing experiments at high-power laser facilities (PW-class) around the globe. - Conducting data analysis and image processing using Python and Mathematica, and performing numerical simulations using C/C++. - Developing software (C/C++/C#/LabView) to control devices with various communication protocols, such as motor and trigger controllers, as well as cameras. - Designing optical components, complex systems, and detectors using tools like Autodesk Inventor, and COMSOL. - Creating electronic PCBs for system integration. I studied the electron-positron pair creation from quantum vacuum via the nonlinear Breit-Wheeler process. I designed a functional experiment for measuring this effect at the Centre for Advanced Laser Applications (CALA), and a single-particle detection system that is capable of measuring the created pairs.
