Research in computer vision and machine learning. Specifically face- and object-recognition.

DPhil in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford funded by Microsoft Research through the European PhD Scholarship Programme. My DPhil was jointly supervised by Professor Andrew Zisserman, principal researcher at the Visual Geometry Group, and Antonio Criminisi at Microsoft Research Cambridge. My research topics included object segmentation in natural photographs as well as object category based image retrieval and weakly supervised learning of visual object-category models.

- Researched unsupervised appearance based location clustering of home and commercial video - Implemented a GUI for simple browsing of videos based on location

Research in document analysis, specifically optical character recognition.

Research in computer vision and scene understanding. Calibration of a static monocular camera for the application of understanding and describing a street scene.
