In order to ensure the company's long-term growth, I was entrusted with the relocation of the production units and the implementation of the project in China. I was responsible for all steps involved in this relocation, such as identifying the right joint venture associate, setting up production in conformity with German quality standards, establishing relations with Chinese authorities and financial institutions, and closing down the German production facilities.

With the expansion of the global purchasing department and the aid of my broad Asian network, the company was able to identify new suppliers in the market making me both consultant and negotiator for all supplier audits. My determined improvement strategy led to a new set-up of the purchasing department into material groups and the modifications of the storage facility which resulted in an increase of storage capacity by 40% as well as a reduction in commissioning access times with error-free commissioning.

With the introduction of a database-supported system, which provided valuable information on deviating cost factors early on in the calculation and quotation phase, it was possible to create a verifiable and comprehensible basis for the customer and thus increase customer satisfaction and strengthen trust towards the company. The sustainable management of diverse departments, spanning over five locations, was achieved by establishing an environment of open and trusting cooperation among many nationalities.
