The aim of this internship is to develop and validate a model of a complete operating Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (HAWT) by means of the Non-linear Harmonic (NLH) method. This reduced-order frequency domain CFD approach allows to drastically reduce the required computational time of unsteady simulations. The study will be based on the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), HAWT model published by the NREL and accounting for experimental data.
