  I am heading the configuration management solutions team. We are managing the CMDB for Amadeus, the inventory of all devices in any of our data centers. We are using BMC CMDB and BMC Discovery and lately ServiceNow. We have complemented these tools with a list of home-grown tools to better automate our processes. The team is spread over 2 sites: Erding and Bangalore (India).

  In 2015, I took over responsibility for the configuration management solutions team in Amadeus. We are maintaining the CMDB as the central point of reference for all ITIL processes. We are offering solutions for incident management (determination of root cause, event correlation, determination of affected customers to facilitate correct communication), change management (awareness of potential scheduling conflicts) and other processes. The team is located in Erding and Bangalore, India.

  I am heading the Aproach development team. It is spread over 3 sites (Erding, Bad Homburg, Bangalore). For a couple of years, I have also been responsible for ULAM, a load tool used to load specific Amadeus applications to LINUX servers. I have been heavily involved in the production roll out.

  I have designed and developed WIN@proach from scratch. Aproach is the ITIL Managent system for Amadeus. WIN@proach is the windows GUI that is used by internal users. I have also designed the C++ Application server that handles the central parts of the business logic and the interface to the database. I have re-implemented ajp13, the protocol that is used between Apache web servers and Java servers like TomCat or JBoss in C++ so that it can be used to connect from Apache to our application servers.

  As Unix system programmer, I have fixed issues in client applications, in the standard Unix libraries and in the Unix kernel (SINIX). I also worked in the design and implementation of driving simulators for BMW and for the Munich Subway.
