It's all about bringing the right people together and organizing and driving collaboration to a point where it really gets to a sustainable WinWin on both sides. Sounds a wee bit like of Marketing blurb but there is a good portion of truth in it.
 
Over time my working activities gradually shifted towards business development which accounts for a major part of my daily work. This includes primarily "knowledge management": gathering information, select and rank the relevant aspects for partners, colleagues, media, customers and prospects, publishing internally (intranet, wiki) and externally (website, social networks) plus link up the right people to develop joint business activities.
 
A lot of stuff is hands-on work such as preparing and continoulsy enhacing the marketing and PR tool kit (from concept to design, production & distrubution).
 
And never forget: The brain runs on fun
