Now a financial advisor specializing in retirement planning, John Colegrove began his diverse career in music performance and education. From 1987 to 1993, John Colegrove attended the University of Georgia, where he received his Bachelor of Music Education. From the University of Georgia, John Colegrove transitioned to the University of Notre Dame where he studied Music Performance and Literature, earning his Master’s degree in Music in 1995. The next year, John Colegrove entered the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, completing his Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Performance in only three years. Following the awarding of his doctorate, John Colegrove taught at Athens Academy in Athens, Georgia, from 2000 to 2001. Utilizing the experience he gained as a music teacher and professional musician, John integrated these attributes into the financial planning profession. In 2001, John Colegrove became a Financial Advisor and Branch Manager with LPL Financial (DBA: John Colegrove, Inc). John Colegrove now specializes in Retirement Income Planning, Roth IRAs, Rollover IRAs, and small business 401k plans. Holding the FINRA Series 7, 63, 66, and 24 licenses, John Colegrove excels at assisting his clients in retirement income planning despite the difficulties of the current economic climate. In addition to his work as a musician, educator, and financial advisor, John Colegrove spent one year at Barrett Dodge Chrysler Jeep as a salesman while taking a break from his education. Now a resident of Norcross, Georgia, John Colegrove enjoys swimming, biking, Georgia football, Gwinnett Braves baseball and spending time with his family when he is not attending to his clients. John Colegrove is a member of Simpsonwood United Methodist Church and serves as President of the UGA Redcoat Band Alumni Association.
