Jose Vargas

I'm passionate, detail oriented filmmaker with over 13 years of experience in the film production industry. I live for creating meaningful work. Due to my 10 years long collaboration time with several production companies in Mexico, I was able to work next to recognized directors, cinematographers and producers for International projects. This experience formed me and allowed me to learn industry standard workflows and techniques for still photography and moving pictures. This drew my path towards working as focus puller, camera assistant, operator and later on cinematographer through the founding of my own production company in Mexico. I had the opportunity to shoot for brands like Sprite, ETAM, Shopbop, Grand Velas Hotel Group along with other national projects. In 2020 I ventured to Hannover, Germany where I've continued to work as a focus puller and DOP in projects for German brands like ZDF, NDF, Jägermeister, Swiss Life among others.
