Advance CNA’s public policy agenda in 18 states. During my tenure, I have increased CNA’s visibility, building and strengthening relationships with key influencers, while managing external resources, including lobby teams, and numerous association and chamber relationships. Continually evaluate political and legislative environments, and develop and execute corrective strategies. As a result, I have led or assumed a lead role in various state coalitions that work to improve business climates.

Raised the association's profile by serving as the group's primary national spokesman to national news media on issues of importance to the property-casualty insurance industry. Increased visibility to unprecedented levels by aggressively advocating Alliance views to national press corps, regional and trade media, and Capitol Hill dailies.

Lobbied ARTBA’s views before Congress and the Administration, and advanced industry positions to national, regional and trade press, and Capitol Hill dailies; wrote/issued press releases; drafted speeches. As ARTBA spokesman to the national press corps, gained expertise in such issues as highway, mass transit, and aviation infrastructure appropriations; highway safety; economic impacts; negative effects of congestion; etc.
