Judy Schreiber

As customer delivery manager Judy leads projects containing both Agile and Waterfall components for the delivery of BaaS capabilities through specific product creation or transformation, operational process improvements while keeping focus on key touch-points for both regulatory and compliance criteria via multi-disciplinary, highly skilled digital engineering and operational teams.

Executive head of the Africa Regions looking after the Core Banking systems and all associated production capabilities. In this role Judy is accountable as escalation point for all Core Banking services provided to Africa Regions (16 Countries) from center (SA). This include 5 different core banking systems and full ownership of the Cloud Countries where Banking services is provided from a centralized architecture.

Executive Head of the Shared Services Portfolio for Business Service Management at Standardbank. In this role Judy managed a large team of 359 team members with 9 direct reports for the delivery of IT RUN shared service(s) across the organization, regardless of where the underpinning technology components, processes or capabilities lie. B

Service Business Partner(SBP) for Group Technology Infrastructure, Group Information Security and Africa (RoA) This role entailed the management and support of Operational Service support functions across the group with a team of 31 Service Managers split between SA and rest of Africa.

Head of Service Delivery for the Corporate and Investment Bank in South Africa. (CIB) In this role Judy ran the entire department including Service Desk (Platinum & General support) Command Bridge(4 shifts of operators), Service Management, Projects, Desktop setup, Identity and Access Management desks and Process.

Head of Service Management within Service Delivery for the Corporate and Investment Bank. Managing the production environment with a number of federated service managers placed in 5 different business units. This involve both pro-active and re-active managtement, pro-actively via change management and re-actively via crisis and incident management.

Senior Manager for all Information Technology project managers working on projects in the Operations, Investment Banking and Transactional processing portfolios within IT. Leadership role for 21 direct reports (all project managers) while working on globalising the PMO with establishing global change boards and reintrodusing portfolio and programme management roles within the organization. Also involved in benefits realization and centralizing vs decentralizing strategies for the PMO.

Judy managed the Continuous Link Settlement, SWIFT and Commodity Trading program. She is a certified as Prince2 practitioner and conforms to the Prince 2 methodology in this capacity. She also took over full management of the project office in London, reporting into the Information Technology Division, accountable for IT project managers, project co-coordinators, and portfolio and quality managers in October 2007 until the function was decentralised.

She fulfilled a dual role - project manager for a Retail FOREX system re-write project at first and as the project work ramped-down she stepped into the porfolio management role for the back-office project managers where she was accountable for the entire portfolio mentored containing 17 project managers with 32 projects in flight.

The Company allocated Judy to Standard Bank Group to manage the Retail FOREX system rewrite project as Senior Project manager. Standard Bank made her an offer to join the Group 12 months after starting to manage this specific project to finish the implementation and become part of their leadership team.

She managed this production areas for the medical administration company. WIthin this term she also completed an outsource of Medscheme desktop environment to Siemens. She was also project executive for the e-business project to develop Webscheme (www.medscheme.co.za) and was instrumental in the solution and vendor selection process, and the management of the multi-vendor engagement. Judy was appointment to executive just 12 months after joining the company and served on the Group services board.

Judy worked in many roles, starting as an analyst programmer working her way through the engineering ranks before changing her career path to Project Management. She successfully delivered a large number of IT projects, in particular the larger and more complex Investment rewrite, Discontinuation of Paid-up and Fixed Period shares, Branch Numbers for life as well as the Merging of Perm investments accounts onto the newly re-written Investment application as well as Permanent bank creation.
