Leonardo Tondi

As a Senior Electronic Engineer, I lead the HW & FW development of the R&D department, merging expertises in how electronics, firmware and software come together to create a complete product. I have all-round knowledge about electronic development from concept to production, through architectural definition, system requirements, testing in a lab. I'm also responsible for scheduling, checking performance, identifying issues, and offering workarounds, reporting directly to the management the project running.

Developed and implemented a verification procedures for an on-board for railway signaling system within the European ERMTS/ETCS framework. Identified several issues, found the solutions and validated them to ensure that the product features and functionalities met requirements.

As an Analog & Radio Frequency Hardware Engineer I helped to define and develop new products within the European framework of the Rail Traffic Management System/European Train Control System (ERTMS/ETCS). I handled all the needed design flux to achieve the highest safety integrity level of the system (SIL-4), from the RAMS analysis to prototyping, through architectural definition, system requirements, analog hardware design and testing.

As an IC Analog and RF Engineer I joined a multidisciplinary team developing ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) in partnership with multinational companies. I handled the most advanced CMOS and Sige BiCMOS semiconductor technologies at cutting edge sectors of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Ultra Wide Band (UWB) transceivers. I performed requirements analysis, block specifications, design and layout of schematic circuits, documentation and periodical reports to the management.
